We specialize in adult and pediatric otolaryngology and provide medical and surgical care of diseases of the ear, nose, sinuses, face, mouth, throat, the upper airway and the neck. Our specialty includes the diagnosis and management of most benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck.
We perform in-office procedures which in some patients include: turbinate reduction and balloon sinuplasty, placement of ventilation tubes, snoring procedures and simple biopsies.
Other procedures are scheduled surgical procedures. The majority of these procedures are outpatient procedures done in a surgery center. The doctors determine on a case by case basis which patients will need a hospital admission.
The lastest technology used for treating chronic sinusitis involves the balloon sinuplasty procedure. This is a clinically proven procedure that is minimally invasive, safe and effective. In many cases this procedure opens up blocked sinuses without tissue or bone removal. Consult one of our ENT physician to determine if this procedure is right for you.
We are very excited at TENT to offer a less invasive alternative to conventional sinus surgery to our patients with chronic sinusitis. The mainstay of treatment for sinusitis remains medical management with nasal steroid sprays and antihistamines as preventative maintenance, allergy management and judicial use of antibiotics. However, in patients who have CT scans showing evidence of anatomic sinus obstruction or chronic sinusitis, the balloon procedure may be a useful and minimally invasive solution. It can be performed in an out-patient setting and sometimes in the office.
